2019 Ulster Provincial Championships

Today (01/09/19) was the day for the Provincial Championships, The Ulster championships, where bragging rights are at stake and of course silverware and a cool keepsake racing shirt.
The racing was great as always, with BCBC kids right in the mix. Little Jacob Jamison putting his first trophy on the shelf tonight in the under 6s with a hard fought 2nd.
In the 7-8s Jamie Harron took the top step, with his team mates Tommy Caldwell in 3rd and Lucas Mooney a close 4th!
In the 9-10 boys another podium for BCBC with a great result for Daniel Johnston.
In the 11-12 boys a hotly contended 8 rider gate all day. Well done to Andre Aroga for a solid 2nd place, Ozzy in 4th, Luis in 5th, Jamie in 7th.
Young Martin Groundwater was bringing home a sparkly trophy too in the 13-14 boys with a 2nd, he can share the shelf with his sister if there’s any room left on it.
Lucy brought home another win in the 7-10 girls.
And of course not to forget about our only “elderly” rider Peter Johnston, steadily gaining speed and riding for a solid 2nd in his class the 30+ masters.
Great days racing all round. Thanks to Lisburn BMX club for hosting, Bmx Ulster for Sponsoring the Event and well done to all the winners from Lisburn and ECR !!
